The City Palace Museum

Udaipur is housed within the very iconic, 450 year old Palace, the former abode of the rulers of Mewar. It was formally declared as a Museum open to the public in 1969 through the efforts of Maharana Bhagwat Singh of Mewar (r. 1955-1984 CE). The Mardana Mahal and Zenana Mahal of The City Palace, Udaipur was bequeathed to the Maharana of Mewar Charitable Foundation (MMCF), a trust established by Maharana Bhagwat Singh himself. With it, he also provided a major endowment for the cause. Thus, The City Palace Museum, Udaipur came into being. Fifty years hence; The City Palace Museum has grown immensely and continues to draw visitors in increasing numbers from all across the globe.

Sajjan Garh Palace

The Monsoon Palace, also known as the Sajjan Garh Palace, is a hilltop palatial residence in the city of Udaipur, Rajasthan in India, overlooking the Fateh Sagar Lake. It is named Sajjangarh after Maharana Sajjan Singh (1874–1884) of the Mewar dynasty, whom it was built for in 1884. The palace offers a panoramic view of the city's lakes, palaces and surrounding countryside. It was built chiefly to watch the monsoon clouds; hence, appropriately, it is popularly known as Monsoon Palace. It is said that the Maharana built it at the top of the hill to get a view of his ancestral home, Chittorgarh. Previously owned by the Mewar royal family, it is now under the control of the Forest Department of the Government of Rajasthan and has recently been opened to the public. The palace provides a beautiful view of the sunset.

Bagore Ki Haveli

Shri Amarchand Badwa, a Sanadhya Brahmin who was the Prime Minister of Mewar from 1751 to 1778, throughout the reigns of Maharanas Pratap Singh II, Raj Singh II, Ari Singh, and Hamir Singh respectively, built this haveli.

Saheliyon Ki Bari

Saheliyon-ki-Bari is a major garden and a popular tourist space in Udaipur in the Indian state of Rajasthan. It lies in the northern part of the city and has fountains and kiosks, a lotus pool and marble elephants.

Fateh Sagar Lake

This delightful lake, bordered by hills and woodlands, lies to the north of Lake Pichola. This artificial lake is connected to Lake Pichola by a canal. The lake houses on the beautiful Nehru Island as well as an islet on which stands the Udaipur Solar Observatory. It was inaugurated by the Duke of Connaught and was initially called Connaught Bundh.

Lake Pichola

Picholi was the name of a village that lent its name to the lake. The islands of Jagniwas and Jagmandir are housed in this lake. Along the eastern banks of the lake lies the City Palace. A boat ride in the lake around sunset offers a breathtaking view of the Lake and City Palace.

Jagdish Temple

An example of the Indo-Aryan style of architecture, Jagdish Temple was built in 1651 and continues to be one of the most famous temples in and around Udaipur. Dedicated to Lord Vishnu, the structure is an architectural marvel with carved pillars, graceful ceilings and painted walls. This three-storied temple was built by Maharana Jagat Singh I.

Sukhadia Circle

Sukhadia Circle lies to the north of Udaipur. It comprises a small pond that also houses a 21 foot tall, three-tiered marble fountain. Decorated with beautifully carved motifs, the fountain looks spectacular at night when it is lit up. The fountain is surrounded by gardens, creating a perfect oasis in a city bustling with tourists.

Mansapurna Karni Mata

Shri Manshapuran Karni Mata Temple is an Indian Hindu goddess temple located in Udaipur , Rajasthan state . It is located on a hill called Machla Magra in Udaipur district , as well as near this temple in Udaipur Dudh Talai lake . The stone idol of Karni Mata is installed in the temple. This temple adds a lot of beauty to the city of Udaipur . No vehicle can reach around this temple or to the temple, because of this the place around the temple is absolutely pure, there is no pollution, that means it is pollution free.

Gaurav Path (Maharana Pratap Memorial)

Developed by the Veer Shiromani Maharana Pratap Samiti, Pratap Gaurav Kendra Rashtriya Tirth is located at Manoharpura, Badgaon in Udaipur. This place is dedicated to the king of Mewar Maharana Pratap and is an ideal place to know about him and the ancient heritage of Mewar. Aiming at the belief that Maharana Pratap must be the youth icon, the project was envisioned by Sangh Pracharak Sri Sohansingh Ji. The park is built on an area of more than 10 acres and is beautifully adorned with sculptures, galleries, and structures.
